Your questions, answered plainly
How is Ovulate different from a calendar app?
A calendar app computes an average. Ovulate applies the sympto-thermal method: it cross-checks temperature against cervical observation, day after day, to reflect your actual cycle rather than a statistic.
Is the sympto-thermal method reliable as contraception?
Properly learned and applied, the sympto-thermal method is a scientifically documented observation method. Ovulate is a tracking and observation tool: it replaces neither learning the method nor the advice of a healthcare professional.
What do my partner or the professional who supports me see?
Only what you explicitly share, through a linking code you generate yourself. Sharing can be revoked at any time, from your side.
Can I take my data with me if I leave Ovulate?
Yes. Full export of your data is a GDPR right, and a built-in feature of the app — your data is never locked in.
Do I need an account to use the mobile app?
No. The app is local-first: your measurements stay on your phone. An account is only required for sharing features.
